We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Trainee Customs Process Administrator. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow in the field of customs and shipping, with excellent prospects for career development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing customs processes efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, ensuring clear and effective communication within the team.
- Develop your strengths and improve your weaknesses through comprehensive training and support.
- Learn basic customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
- Operate Duty Management computer systems, ensuring compliance with authorisation and SOPs.
- Process customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes and maintain accurate stock records.
- Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly, providing excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
- A good academic record, with a strong foundation in mathematics and English.
- Full training would be given, making this an ideal opportunity for a college leaver or 2nd jobber.
