Role Overview:
As a Trainee Customs Process Administrator, you will be responsible for processing client data, managing shipping information, and applying customs and excise duties and procedures.
This role involves working with a variety of systems in a fast-paced environment, so a keen eye for detail and pride in your work are essential. Every transaction you handle has the potential to make significant savings for our client's customers, building on their reputation for excellence.
Main Duties:
- Assist in managing customs processes efficiently.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Develop your strengths and improve your weaknesses.
- Ensure clear and effective communication within the team.
- Provide feedback to the Team Leader and team on tasks.
- Learn basic customs import formalities and procedures using SCDP (Special Customs Declaration Procedures).
- Operate Duty Management computer systems.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of duty management accounts, ensuring compliance with authorisation and SOPs.
- Process customs warehouse removals within compliant timeframes and maintain stock records.
- Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing and recordkeeping.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients, and suppliers regularly.
Essential Qualifications:
Minimum 5 GCSEs grade C or above, including English and Mathematics.
A good academic record.
Full training would be given. This position would be ideal for a college leaver or 2nd jobber.
