Liberty Gas Group is in search of a seasoned IT Operations Infrastructure Lead to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.

You will be engaged in a full-time, permanent position, contributing 40 hours per week. In return, we offer a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the ICT Director, taking charge of delivering exceptional third-line support to our broader ICT teams and the business. Additionally, you will oversee the management and daily operations of our third-party partners and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the effective operation of the IT infrastructure, including storage, server, and network systems.
  • Implement robust resilience and failover strategies to minimize downtime and failures.
  • Ensure the security of Liberty's infrastructure against cyber threats and other vulnerabilities.
  • Develop the IT infrastructure strategy in alignment with the overall IT strategy.
  • Guarantee compliance of server, storage, database, and network infrastructure with established strategies.
  • Conduct 24/7 monitoring of the infrastructure, with real-time alerts to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Manage significant incidents that may affect business operations.
  • Oversee changes to the infrastructure through a structured change management process.
  • Establish best practice operational processes for daily management of Liberty's infrastructure.
  • Ensure adequate capacity within the infrastructure to support business needs proactively.
  • Manage costs in accordance with approved budgets.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the IT infrastructure, meeting the demands of the business, which includes storage, server, and network systems in a hybrid on-premise/cloud environment.

We seek an individual with a proven track record in managing daily IT infrastructure operations. The successful candidate will have experience in operating, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting both virtualized on-premise and cloud infrastructures, with expertise in Citrix and Azure.

To safeguard Liberty's infrastructure from potential threats, the candidate must demonstrate best practices in infrastructure security and play a crucial role in any changes to the IT environment.

As a leader, you will be expected to provide vision and direction to enhance the IT infrastructure in alignment with the organization's short, medium, and long-term objectives.

You will lead major IT infrastructure projects while balancing business goals within agreed budgets.
