About the Role:

As a Technical Operations Manager at System C, you will be responsible for overseeing the Managed Services Team, ensuring seamless delivery and support of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure for our internal and external clients. This role is pivotal in maintaining the enterprise infrastructure that powers our business, collaborating with various teams to ensure our services are delivered efficiently and within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of specialist engineers in infrastructure and cloud technologies, driving technical excellence and innovation.
  • Oversee the Technical Service Desk, ensuring high service uptime and satisfaction through proactive issue resolution and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development of the Managed Services Roadmap, aligning it with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere within the Managed Services Department, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive continuous service improvement and efficiency initiatives, leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Manage supplier relationships, purchasing, and compliance, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the department is always audit-ready, maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a team lead/manager role or 5 years in a senior technical position, with a strong background in enterprise infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • Extensive experience in managing resources and leading teams in high-pressure scenarios, such as Priority 1 incidents.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects, with a proven track record of effective stakeholder management.
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent extensive experience, with a strong understanding of ITIL-based methodologies and change management.

Desirable Skills:

  • Management qualifications or technical certifications, such as ITIL or cloud computing certifications.
  • Experience working within a DevOps environment, with a strong understanding of agile methodologies and continuous integration.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and industry standards, such as ISO 20000 and COBIT.
