About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Platform Operations Lead to join our Platform Department at The Investigo Group. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our core platform, which supports a global customer base.

About the Team

Our Platform team manages the core platform, delivering products worldwide and comprising individuals with a broad range of technological expertise. The team is known for its strong, collaborative spirit, always eager to innovate and elevate our platform to new heights.

About the Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the operational aspects of our core platform, ensuring that it operates at peak efficiency and security. You will be the go-to expert for managing and resolving critical incidents and technical problems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular reviews and audits to ensure the platform meets the highest standards of availability, resilience, and security.
  • Developing best practices and ensuring the platform is aligned with industry standards and accreditations, such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and PCI DSS.
  • Working closely with the Platform and Product teams to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance our service delivery.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring that our infrastructure is prepared for future needs.
About the Requirements

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering robust and secure platform operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing complex IT environments and providing leadership in technical problem-solving. You should be comfortable coordinating multiple workstreams and prioritising tasks effectively to ensure swift resolution of issues. Your ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and your dedication to maintaining high standards of performance are crucial for this role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure management and technical leadership.
  • Proven track record of managing critical incidents and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, storage, hypervisors, server hardware, and Active Directory, both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Virtualisation, Storage, and Security systems.
  • Familiarity with working in secure environments, such as police, defence, or similar sectors.
  • Experience in the design, development, installation, and implementation of IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and accreditations, such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, and PCI DSS.
  • Strong experience working with Software Development teams, DevOps Engineers, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior technical role.
  • Ability to stay informed about technological trends and emerging solutions.
