The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager / Operations Specialist to join our site management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and improving the quality control operation, providing line management for the QC analyst, and supporting the plant management team in defining and implementing small engineering and operations projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and improve the quality control operation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Provide line management for the QC analyst, including training and development.
  • Support the plant management team in defining and implementing small engineering and operations projects, including plant trials and optimization.
  • Assist the Site Manager in the management and administration of the Quality Management system.
Requirements
  • Good university degree in chemical engineering or a similar science or engineering discipline.
  • Experience working in a chemical or process plant environment.
  • Experience in implementing engineering projects or plant optimization.
Desirable Skills and Qualities
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
  • Able to effectively plan and manage your own time.
  • Able to effectively manage and work with colleagues at all levels within the organization.

  • Possess knowledge of safety legislation and concepts such as hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.

Contractual Arrangements
  • Permanent contract.
