**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth Justice Officer to join our team at Sheffield City Council. As a Youth Justice Officer, you will play a crucial role in improving outcomes for children and their families, and influencing agencies across Sheffield to provide high-quality services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assess and intervene with young people to reduce reoffending, in line with National Standards and the Youth Justice Plan.
  • Work collaboratively with case managers and specialist staff to provide core services, including assessment and intervention.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners across the city, providing services to children and their families.
  • Embody a trauma-informed and child-first approach to Youth Justice, with a deep understanding of relevant legislation and National Standards.
  • Engage and build relationships with children and their families, using excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
