We have a vacancy for a confident, enthusiastic Data Officer to provide high quality, efficient and effective support to our Data and Information Manager at our Upper School site. The collection and analysis of data play a crucial role in supporting our staff and students.

The post holder will be required to support the Data and Information Manager with the development, co-ordination and management of the systems and processes for data reporting and data management. The role will also require the post holder to undertake general administrative/clerical duties.

The main duties include:

· Assist and support the coordination and delivery of data and information within School, and to external agencies

· Help maintain and develop analytical data systems and reports

· Process student changes (e.g. biographical, timetable, qualification and withdrawal) on information systems

· Assist with the collection, collation and publishing of student assessment data.

The successful candidate will:

· be very well organised and efficient

· have a confident and professional manner

· be a skilled ICT practitioner, with excellent Microsoft Excel and SIMS knowledge

· have very good interpersonal skills

· have a strong organisational ability

· be able to work flexible hours especially during busy periods

Applicants must have a good working knowledge of the whole suite of Microsoft Office software and be comfortable using Word and Excel extensively. We use SIMS as our main management information software and whilst familiarity with this piece of software is not essential the successful candidate must be able to learn quickly as they will use this central source of management information on a daily basis.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be required to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate. As the post will involve regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you are included on the children's barred list held by the DBS.
