Job OverviewIntroduction

An exceptional opportunity exists within Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, a dynamic collaboration focused on delivering comprehensive substance use treatment and recovery services. This partnership is a joint effort among Turning Point, Framework, and Double Impact, each bringing unique expertise to enhance recovery outcomes.

Our Recovery First model is at the heart of our operations, ensuring that lived experience and recovery principles are seamlessly integrated into our services. Residents of Lincolnshire will benefit from our tailored and localized approach, addressing a range of issues across the region.

As a community-focused Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber within our Lincolnshire Recovery Service, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to transform their lives. Your passion for helping others will be matched by support for your own professional growth within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will engage in various interventions including opiate substitute treatment (OST), benzodiazepine tapering, alcohol and opiate detoxification, and relapse prevention strategies. Your responsibilities will also encompass:

  • Conducting health care assessments and administering detoxification medications.
  • Completing assessments for alcohol and opiate detoxification.
  • Providing Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations.
  • Collaborating closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.

You will participate in local prescriber meetings, receive one-on-one clinical supervision, and attend national prescriber/clinician gatherings to foster your continuous professional development. Comprehensive training and supervision will be provided by our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, offering you a genuine opportunity to influence service delivery and contribute to high-quality clinical services.

As part of our team, you will have access to resources such as RCNi for revalidation, indemnity insurance, and support from various clinical leaders within the organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or hold qualifications as a Pharmacist with independent prescriber status. You should possess confidence in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and overseeing alcohol detoxification processes.

Joining an established team, you will be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills, capable of developing innovative and flexible support packages tailored to individual needs. Your ability to manage a busy service effectively will be crucial in achieving positive outcomes.

We seek a candidate who is genuinely interested in engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and patience in all interactions.

Benefits

We recognize that rewards vary for each individual, and our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Coverage for NMC Registration / GPhC Renewal fees.
  • Extensive learning and development opportunities to invest in your future.
  • 31 days of paid holiday annually, increasing with tenure, with options to buy or sell additional leave.
  • Access to an exclusive discounts hub for colleagues, including various retail and service discounts.
  • Flexible working arrangements to promote work-life balance.
