Lincoln, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Turning Point Full time
Job OverviewPosition Summary

An exceptional opportunity has emerged within Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, a dynamic collaboration focused on delivering substance use treatment and recovery services. This partnership is formed by Turning Point, Framework, and Double Impact, combining extensive national experience with specialized expertise in recovery and support for individuals facing complex challenges.

Our Recovery First approach is central to our mission, ensuring that lived experience and recovery are integral to our services. Residents of Lincolnshire will benefit from our highly integrated and localized model, addressing multiple issues across the region.

As a community-based Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber at our Lincolnshire Recovery Service, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals to initiate change. With a passion for supporting others, you will receive comprehensive support to enhance your professional journey within a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will engage in various interventions, including opiate substitute treatment (OST), benzodiazepine reductions, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and relapse prevention strategies. Your responsibilities will also encompass health care assessments, administering detoxification medications, conducting alcohol and opiate detoxification evaluations, providing Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screenings and vaccinations, and collaborating closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.

You will participate in local prescriber meetings, receive one-on-one clinical supervision, and attend national prescriber/clinician gatherings to support your ongoing learning and professional development. Comprehensive training and supervision will be provided by our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, offering you a genuine opportunity to influence service delivery and contribute to high-quality clinical services.

As a valued employee, you will have access to resources such as RCNi for revalidation, indemnity insurance, and support from our Clinical Lead, Clinical Services Manager, and other key personnel.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or hold qualifications as a Pharmacist, with independent prescriber credentials. You should possess confidence in managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and overseeing alcohol detoxifications.

Joining an established team in Lincolnshire, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and strong organizational abilities. Your capacity to develop creative, flexible support packages tailored to individual needs will be essential. You will effectively manage a busy service while utilizing available resources to achieve positive outcomes.

We seek individuals who genuinely enjoy engaging with diverse populations, possess a deep sense of empathy, and are committed to helping others.
