Our Recovery First model is central to our operations, promoting a fully integrated approach that highlights lived experience in recovery. Residents of Lincolnshire will benefit from our localized services that address a range of issues, ensuring a holistic support system.

As a community-based Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will play a pivotal role in empowering individuals to transform their lives. Your passion for helping others will be met with a supportive environment, allowing you to thrive within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will engage in various interventions, including:

  • Opiate substitute treatment (OST)
  • Benzodiazepine tapering
  • Alcohol and opiate detoxification
  • Relapse prevention medication management

You will also conduct health assessments, administer detoxification medications, perform Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screenings, and collaborate closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services. Your efforts will foster a cooperative relationship with external professionals and agencies.

Participation in local prescriber meetings, one-on-one clinical supervision, and national clinician meetings will enhance your professional development. Comprehensive training and mentorship will be provided by our Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead, giving you the opportunity to influence service delivery and contribute to high-quality care.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a registered professional with the Nursing & Midwifery Council or a qualified Pharmacist, possessing independent prescribing qualifications. You should be adept at managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and overseeing alcohol detoxification processes.

Joining an established team, you will need to exhibit excellent communication skills and organizational abilities. Your capacity to create tailored support packages will be essential in meeting diverse client needs. A genuine interest in engaging with individuals from various backgrounds, along with a strong sense of empathy and patience, is crucial.
