Position Overview

The Residential Facilities Management Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of facilities services within the University’s residential properties. Collaborating with a dedicated Facilities team, you will ensure that the buildings are well-maintained and meet the needs of residents.

Key Responsibilities

As the Residential Facilities Coordinator, you will partner closely with the Residential Facilities Manager (RFM) to guarantee a safe, secure, and high-quality living environment for students, staff, visitors, and contractors. This will be achieved through the effective execution of operational strategies in facilities management across the residences.

Qualifications and Skills

We encourage applications from candidates who:

  • Possess a relevant City and Guilds qualification or NVQ at Level 3, or have equivalent, pertinent experience.
  • Hold a recognized Health and Safety qualification, such as IOSH, CIEH, or NEBOSH at certificate level. Candidates with relevant experience and the potential to obtain such qualifications will also be considered.
  • Have a relevant Fire Safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or an equivalent, or are willing to pursue such a qualification.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines while exceeding expectations.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of safe working practices and a solid understanding of health and safety management principles in the workplace.
