Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Data Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data related to customer invoicing and payments.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for self-billing and electronic invoicing requests from customers.
  • Maintain comprehensive invoice data tables within our GEMS system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct thorough audits of Ocean & Finance systems in collaboration with the Finance team to identify potential discrepancies or areas for improvement.
  • Monitor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions related to invoicing, promptly resolving any issues that arise.
  • Process and reconcile SAGA and Coda invoices, effectively addressing any discrepancies identified.
  • Develop action plans based on audit findings to enhance efficiency and accuracy within our invoicing processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Documentation and Finance teams to ensure seamless data flow and adherence to contractual agreements with customers.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Ocean applications and processes, specifically for both WW Ocean and Eukor operations.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including strong numeracy and problem-solving abilities.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, with a working knowledge of PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in finance and understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes for WW Ocean and Eukor.
  • Knowledge of EDI systems and GEMS software.
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and local authority requirements.
