About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Visitor to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and ensuring the service model is implemented in practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and ensure the service model is implemented in practice.
  • Ensure services are provided within the 4-tier model, incorporating building community capacity and embedding this into caseload, team, and locality management.
  • Improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged groups.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies and organisations to achieve programme goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and communities to promote health and wellbeing.

Person Specification
  • Specialist Community Public Health Nurse/Health Visitor qualification.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Experience of working with children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged groups.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
