Health Visitor Specialist

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Health Visitor Specialist to join our team. As a Health Visitor Specialist, you will contribute to the delivery of a high-quality, proactive service for children, young people, and their families in the London Borough of Harrow.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the identification and assessment of child and family health needs.
- Deliver a universal core service, targeted interventions, and public health interventions to children and their families within a defined locality.
- Work closely with local partners, including GPs, Children's Centres, and the local community and voluntary sector.
- Supervise community nursery nurses, community staff nurses, healthcare assistants, and students to ensure they are working to the standards expected.
- Registered Specialist Practitioner Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) qualification.
- Evidence of relevant Continuous Professional Development.
- Numeracy skills required for the safe administration of medicines.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and proactive in seeking support with decision making when required.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Children issues and risk management.
The post holder will work as part of a skilled mixed team, contributing to the success of the team by being an effective role model and supervisor. The Health Visiting Service will work closely with local partners to provide seamless care.

Salary and Benefits:The salary for this post is £42,939 to £50,697 per annum, inclusive of annual leave and other benefits.
