About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Health Visitor Specialist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering child health programmes and working in partnership with children's centers, schools, GPs, social care organisations, and voluntary agencies.

You will need to be a specialist community public health nurse with knowledge of safeguarding and other legislation relating to children's health services. If you have 5+ years' experience as a Health Visitor, you will be paid the top of band 6 £19.06 plus High cost area allowance.

Main Responsibilities
  • To assess the health needs of the individual and involve the client/carer in the process of meeting those health needs.
  • To monitor the health of children under five years of age and involve the family in promoting optimum health and development of all children.
  • To be aware of deviations from the normal in health and behaviour and intervene to protect vulnerable children and adults by prompt action, by referral, and working with other agencies as part of a specialist team.
