Position Title: Special Educational Needs Support Assistants Needed

Essential Skills:

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Teaching Assistant (TA), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within a classroom environment.
  • Supporting educators in executing personalized education plans for learners with ADHD and SEMH challenges.
  • Engaging with students across both Primary and Secondary educational settings.

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in working with children who have SEND.
  • Teaching Assistant (TA) certification or equivalent experience.

Educational Background:

Minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics.

Experience:

Prior experience in a child-focused role.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Comprehensive understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH, and other special educational needs.
  • Capability to effectively engage with children across various key stages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN Diploma or a related qualification.
  • First Aid training certification.

Work Environment:

  • Dynamic classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborative engagement with teachers and fellow teaching assistants.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for permanent placement in the future.
