Essential Skills:

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Teaching Assistant (TA), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH), Key Stage 1 (KS1), Key Stage 2 (KS2), Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within a classroom environment.
  • Supporting educators in executing tailored educational plans for students diagnosed with ADHD and SEMH.
  • Engaging with learners across both Primary and Secondary educational settings.

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in working with children who have SEND.
  • Teaching Assistant (TA) certification or comparable experience.

Educational Background:

Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics.

Experience Needed:

Prior experience in child education.

Knowledge and Expertise:

  • Comprehension of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), SEMH, and various other special educational needs.
  • Capability to effectively engage with children across different educational stages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN Diploma or related certification.
  • First Aid training.

Work Environment:

  • Dynamic classroom atmosphere.
  • Collaborative efforts with educators and fellow teaching assistants.

All quoted pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the possibility of a permanent role in the future.
