As a Senior Housing Support Specialist, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in overseeing a diverse caseload of clients while leading a team of dedicated housing support professionals.
Situated within one of our operational hubs, you will play a crucial role in the Forward Leeds drug and alcohol support initiative. Your primary responsibility will involve assisting individuals who recognize their struggles with substance use and/or alcohol, alongside addressing housing-related challenges.
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how inadequate housing and the threat of homelessness can affect an individual's capacity to manage their substance and alcohol use effectively.
They will have a solid background in safeguarding practices, risk assessment, recovery strategies, and therapeutic methods that aid individuals in confronting their substance use issues. Additionally, familiarity with housing solutions and pathways is essential. The candidate should exhibit confidence in their ability to deliver outstanding results, possess self-motivation, and have the capability to inspire others.
