Position Overview

The Waltham Forest Federated GP Network is dedicated to delivering exceptional primary healthcare services within the local community. Our Enhanced Access Service extends general practice offerings beyond standard hours, ensuring patients have access to essential healthcare services during evenings and weekends through strategically located community hubs.

This service enables patients to consult with a General Practitioner, Practice Nurse, Healthcare Assistant, and Phlebotomist through pre-scheduled appointments, enhancing accessibility to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect blood samples from patients in accordance with established protocols and standards as directed by a qualified medical professional.
  • Verify that all information on the request forms is accurate and address any discrepancies promptly, adhering to organizational policies.
  • Ensure proper labeling of blood sample containers.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies to facilitate seamless service delivery.
  • Uphold a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Manage and respond to internal communications effectively.
