Job Title: Deputy Director Policy

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director Policy to join our team at Murray McIntosh & Associates Ltd.

About the Role:

The Deputy Director Policy will be responsible for leading policy direction on customers, ensuring they have a fair deal and access to great energy services. This will involve working closely with the policy directorate to develop and implement policies that promote customer engagement and satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics and policy development, with a proven track record of influencing key stakeholders and driving policy change. They will also have excellent people management skills and experience of matrix working.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead policy direction on customers, ensuring they have a fair deal and access to great energy services.
  • Work closely with the policy directorate to develop and implement policies that promote customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Proactively inform the policy making process by engaging early, providing rigorous analysis of proposals and putting forward evidence-based solutions.
  • Communicate policy positions to stakeholders.
  • Monitor policy and regulatory developments and understand the macro and micro economic environment and its impact on the energy sector.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in economics and policy development.
  • Awareness of key policy makers and opinion formers and how they operate.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders with strong, evidence-based analysis.
  • Excellent people management skills and experience of matrix working.
