Job Title: Deputy Director Policy

At Murray McIntosh & Associates Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director Policy to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading policy direction on customers, ensuring they have a fair deal and access to great energy services.

The Deputy Director Policy will work closely with the management team to develop and implement policies that promote the interests of our customers. This will involve engaging with key stakeholders, including policy makers and opinion formers, to understand the impact of policy changes on the energy sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics and policy development, with excellent people management skills and experience of matrix working. They will be able to influence key stakeholders with strong, evidence-based analysis and have a deep understanding of the macro and micro economic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead policy direction on customers, ensuring they have a fair deal and access to great energy services.
  • Develop and implement policies that promote the interests of our customers.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including policy makers and opinion formers, to understand the impact of policy changes on the energy sector.
  • Provide rigorous analysis of proposals and put forward evidence-based solutions.
  • Communicate policy positions to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in economics and policy development.
  • Excellent people management skills and experience of matrix working.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders with strong, evidence-based analysis.
  • Deep understanding of the macro and micro economic environment.
