About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centre Manager to join our team at Drumfork Community Centre, located within HMNB Clyde. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and safe running of the centre, ensuring that our visitors receive exceptional service and that our facilities are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the use of Drumfork Community Centre by third-party organisations, including responsibility for the opening and closing of the facility both in and out with normal working hours and on a roster basis, if required.
  • Manage cash handling and oversee health and safety on site.
  • Develop and maintain processes to ensure the centre operates effectively and efficiently.
  • Support the Centre Manager in managing relationships with the Armed Forces Community and their families, the wider community, customers, hirers, visitors, contractors, One Clyde Community, charities, and other local stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the management team to shape and lead a programme of activities for the Armed Forces and wider community.
  • Manage the needs of room hirers and users, ensuring a high standard of customer service is provided.
  • Ensure the building/premises are made safely available.
  • Be a key-holder for the premises, including any reasonable requests to provide access out with opening hours/weekend events, etc.
  • Administer the bookings diary, including taking payments for room bookings.
  • Receive cash and process payments for goods or services.

  • A proven track record in delivering excellent customer service.
  • The ability to effectively manage and prioritise your own workload.
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication.
