Key Responsibilities

- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of all practice protocols and adhere to established guidelines.

- Assist and guide patients in accessing the appropriate services or healthcare professionals in a courteous and efficient manner.

- Utilize various IT skills, including clinical systems, email communication, and Microsoft applications (training will be provided).

- Foster a positive team environment and present a welcoming image to patients and visitors, whether in person or over the phone.

- Participate in the practice rota to provide additional support during staff absences.

Additional Duties

- Organize and amalgamate newly registered patients' records upon their arrival.

- Perform faxing and photocopying tasks as necessary.

- Digitally archive patient correspondence into electronic records when applicable.

- Communicate test results to patients either via phone or in person, following practice protocols.

- Welcome and direct patients at the reception area.

- Manage prescription requests and distribute completed prescriptions accordingly.

- Address telephone inquiries and transfer calls to the appropriate personnel.

- Undertake any other relevant tasks as assigned.
