About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to join our team at Ecotricity. As a key member of our Places Management team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our internal and external customers, ensuring a safe and effective working environment across our sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide first-line contact for the Places Management team, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Work closely with the Places Manager and Service Team Lead to deliver high-quality services to our customers.
  • Maintenance and Operations
    • Coordinate and manage maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and minimizing downtime.
    • Assist with the planning and logistics of company events, including site visits and contractor management.
    • Conduct regular walk-around inspections to identify potential hazards and report any issues to the Places Manager.
  • Health and Safety
    • Hold or commit to IOSH 4-day Managing Risk in the Workplace certification.
    • Carry out risk assessments and DSE monitoring as required.
    • Conduct fire drills and other H&S simulations as necessary.
  • Administration
    • Support the team with ensuring all Places Team documentation is up-to-date and compliant with internal and external standards.
    • Assist with the drafting or improvement of policy and guidance documentation for all Places processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
    • Work collaboratively with the Places Manager, Service Team Lead, and other stakeholders to achieve team goals.

About You

Requirements

  • A full clean UK driving license.
  • A good understanding of 'how things work', though on-the-job training and experience will supplement that.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service and going the extra mile.
  • Ability to multi-task and think on one's feet.
  • Friendly and approachable disposition.
  • Flexibility to respond to changing requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent timekeeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with contractor and facilities management.
  • Places databases, Jira Service Desk, and Workday experience (can be learned on the job).
  • Competence in standard MS Office suite, including Excel and SharePoint.
