Position Overview

Gtd Healthcare, a prominent not-for-profit organization providing primary and urgent care services in North West England, is seeking a part-time Senior Administrative Coordinator to support operations across the Tameside & Derbyshire region.

This role encompasses a commitment of hours per week, distributed over three days between 08:00 and 18:30. The majority of our practices offer complimentary parking facilities. The successful candidate will engage collaboratively with our neighboring practices, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and community services, necessitating strong communication and networking skills along with a background in primary care.

The Senior Administrative Coordinator will deliver high-level administrative support to all team members, serving as a central communication point within the service and with external partners. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with administrative and clerical tasks according to Gtd Healthcare's guidelines and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience in medical secretarial work or coding is advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of service procedures and protocols, with the ability to reference them accurately.
  • Management of reception team schedules to ensure adequate coverage for patient needs and workload demands.
  • Assistance with chronic disease management systems, patient registries, and administration related to cytology and immunization.
  • Summarization of patient records as per training received.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing communications to facilitate timely responses to inquiries.
  • Execution of additional administrative tasks as assigned by the practice manager, within the scope of competence or following appropriate training.
  • Coordination of meetings and attendance to take minutes as required.
  • Adherence to the Data Protection Act at all times.
  • Support in gathering statistics and information as needed.
  • Training other staff in reception duties when necessary.
  • Acting as a chaperone for examinations upon request, following appropriate training.
  • Managing general inquiries and clarifying procedures as needed.
  • Providing reception coverage during staff absences.
