About the Role

The Studio Floor Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Next Photography Studio. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to the studio teams, ensuring that all aspects of the studio run efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and setup of the studio sets, ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are in place.
  • Transport products and props to the sets, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Sourcing and ordering props for shoots, working closely with the studio team to ensure that all requirements are met.
  • Provide assistance to the shoot teams during the day, including kit management, set changes, and general tasks.
  • Ensure the studio sets are safe, clean, and tidy, maintaining a high level of housekeeping and organization.
  • Responsible for the safety of colleagues and yourself in the workplace, reporting any hazards, incidents, or accidents.
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties as set out by the Studio Managers and front-of-house Coordinators.

  • Knowledge of the Next brand and experience in a similar role or environment, with a genuine interest in photography.
  • Ability to contribute and work effectively within a team environment, with excellent interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a flexible attitude and responsiveness to change.
  • Friendly, helpful, and professional manner at all times, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Mac, with experience using Profoto lighting, Canon cameras, and software such as Capture One, Google Suite, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience in set building and painting, with a strong understanding of studio operations and workflows.
