Position: Solutions Consultant

Location: Birmingham

An exciting opportunity has emerged at a prominent international law firm for a Solutions Consultant. This permanent position is centered on propelling the firm's innovation and growth through advanced technology solutions while spearheading the adoption and expertise of tools that enhance strategic objectives. The consultant will oversee a vital segment of the solutions portfolio, advocating for their designated solutions to ensure they provide transformative value.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading the design, development, and execution of comprehensive, innovative technology solutions.
  • Formulating and implementing the legal technology strategy.
  • Representing the firm at industry events, showcasing achievements in legal technology.
  • Encouraging the adoption of solutions and diagnosing root causes for inadequate uptake.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
  • Overseeing the maintenance and support strategy for internally developed solutions within a specific segment of the portfolio.
  • Conducting experimentation programs to evaluate new solutions.
  • Assisting in the negotiation and management of contracts.
  • Monitoring product quality from vendors and addressing any issues.
  • Owning the roadmap for solutions within a designated part of the solutions portfolio.
  • Managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful solution adoption.
  • Identifying and engaging with vendors that could enhance the capabilities of a specific segment of the solutions portfolio.

Main Experience and Skills Required:

  • Extensive proficiency and experience in utilizing the Microsoft PowerPlatform, along with other relevant technologies such as document automation, contract lifecycle management, artificial intelligence, e-discovery, knowledge management, and data analytics.
  • A proven history of driving and managing successful technology projects and initiatives from conception through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Strong background in legal technology, innovation, or digital transformation, ideally within a law firm, legal technology provider, or technology consulting practice.
  • A passionate vision regarding the role and impact of technology in the legal field, with the ability to advocate for various audiences, both internally and externally.
  • In-depth knowledge of a specific area within the legal technology landscape, such as document automation, contract lifecycle management, or artificial intelligence.

To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. It is essential to identify and implement innovative and effective technology solutions for the firm and its clients.
