About the Role

Sense is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the design and delivery of technical solutions across the organization. This exciting new role will focus on the development of cloud-based solutions, connectivity, applications, and end-user computing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior managers to scope, plan, and deliver projects successfully, within budget and on time.
  • Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into practical projects and programs.
  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers and analysts to deliver on their personal targets and objectives.
  • Carry out people management responsibilities, including recruitment, annual appraisals, and performance management.
  • Own the technical platforms and architecture for the technology estate, with a focus on application and user experience.
  • Establish and deliver technical roadmaps for all platforms.
  • Establish a DevOps approach and CI/CD pipeline for key applications and services.
  • Manage technical delivery for business-driven projects, from solution design to service transition.
  • Support internal projects across the organization that impact or involve the team.

Requirements

  • Experience of managing suppliers in a multi-supplier environment.
  • Knowledge of Cyber Security principles.
  • Broad knowledge of end-to-end technology delivery from concept to in-service.
  • Project and Programme Management skills, capable of working on multiple projects and initiatives at the same time.
  • Experience of working in a charity or social care environment desirable.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work with teams of varying technical abilities.
  • A thorough knowledge of technology solutions, including applications, platforms, cyber security, cloud, and integration.
  • Experience of delivering technology solutions through suppliers, including defining requirements, evaluating and selecting solutions, and managing delivery and acceptance from a technical perspective.
  • Knowledge of IT architecture, including developing architecture models using TOGAF or equivalent methodology.
  • Knowledge of Project and Programme Management tools and techniques, for example Agile (all variants) or PRINCE2.
