Why consider this opportunity

As an Employee Relations (ER) Specialist, you will provide invaluable guidance on significant employee relations matters. Collaborating closely with senior management and HR teams across diverse regions, you will ensure that risks are evaluated, legal obligations are fulfilled, and our core values are maintained. This position allows you to significantly influence our ER strategy and foster positive outcomes for our workforce.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will be crucial in delivering expert Employee Relations advice and solutions for intricate and high-stakes cases across various geographic areas. By working in partnership with senior leaders and HR teams, you will cultivate trusted relationships to guarantee that appropriate ER guidance is provided, and risks are effectively managed. You will prioritize ER cases and make well-informed decisions on how to navigate each scenario, ensuring a balanced approach that aligns with our core values and business responsibilities.

Furthermore, you will aid in enhancing line manager capabilities through coaching and support, particularly in handling disciplinary actions, ensuring fair treatment, and addressing performance-related concerns. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing occupational health matters, managing the consultation process, and contributing to proactive learning initiatives. With a commitment to confidentiality and staying current with ER practices and knowledge, you will collaborate with teams throughout the organization to deliver credible ER advice and achieve favorable outcomes for the business.

Who we seek

You possess extensive knowledge of all facets of employee relations, combined with a solid understanding of employment legislation and occupational health, enabling you to provide expert advice and solutions for complex and high-risk situations. Your ability to establish trusted relationships with senior leaders and teams within the organization allows you to effectively support and guide them through case resolutions, ensuring that our business responsibilities are upheld and aligned with our core values. Your strong judgment, communication skills, and capacity to utilize data to comprehend issues empower you to deliver efficient, professional, and credible advice while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies and procedures. You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adeptly prioritizing your workload and taking ownership of driving the desired outcomes for employee relations within our organization.

Our workforce is central to our operations, and we are looking for individuals who share our passion for this commitment. Join our People team and embark on a journey as we transform our HR practices. Our team comprises business partners collaborating with leaders to maximize team performance, specialists in our areas of expertise, and colleague-focused, efficient people services. Our responsibilities range from ensuring timely compensation for our extensive workforce to attracting exceptional talent to drive our strategy and unlocking the potential of our colleagues. We recognize the importance of flexibility and its impact on productivity, offering more choices than ever regarding where and when you work. In terms of your professional development, we will support your growth in a manner tailored to your unique needs. When you join us, you will become part of a team that understands the essence of engagement and happiness, making a tangible impact across our organization.

We are dedicated to fostering a genuinely inclusive workplace, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds. Here, you will always have the opportunity to explore new experiences—whether as part of an evolving team or in different areas of the organization—and we take professional development seriously, promising our support. We also recognize and celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond, and where feasible, we offer flexible working arrangements. Your well-being is paramount to us. You will receive an annual leave allowance, with the option to purchase additional time off. We also provide various benefits designed to enhance your financial well-being, such as season ticket loans, cycle-to-work schemes, health cash plans, and early access to earned wages.
