Position Overview

The North Central London Integrated Care Board is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to become a vital part of our Safeguarding Adults Team. This role is designed for a Named GP focused on safeguarding adults, contributing to the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based insights from various sources to promote innovative and cost-effective healthcare delivery, disease prevention, and service management.
  • Engage with a broad network of stakeholders to enhance patient care and experience through integrated approaches.

Job Duties

  • Participate in regular meetings with the Designated Professional for Safeguarding Adults to align on work plans and clinical priorities.
  • Engage in clinical oversight meetings to assess performance against strategic objectives.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as directed by the Governing Body or Executive Management Team.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications

  • Registered and qualified as a General Practitioner with substantial experience in caring for adults at risk.
  • Active practice as a GP under a recognized medical services contract for a minimum of two sessions weekly.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development and training.

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of three years as a practicing GP with a good professional standing.
  • Possession of RCGP or equivalent qualifications.
  • Relevant clinical experience with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Competence in safeguarding roles as outlined in health staff guidelines.
  • Preparedness to undertake training in critical incident reviews and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of statutory requirements related to adult safeguarding in primary care.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local health challenges and community needs.
