Job Title: Adult Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Adult Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a valued member of our unit, you will provide clinical support to our research nurses, undertaking activities such as sending scans to imaging companies, administration and data entry, and assisting with clinics.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support to research nurses, including sending scans to imaging companies and administration and data entry.
  • Assist with clinics, undertaking assessments such as blood tests, ECGs, and observations.
  • Collect data, including quality of life questionnaires and liaising with patients on clinical trials.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-renowned cancer centre and contribute to the delivery of patient care. As an Adult Safeguarding Assistant Practitioner, you will work under the direct and indirect supervision of senior nursing staff, assisting in the provision of routine clinical and research care for research participants.

Person Specification:
  • Post-registration oncology qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Research methods education.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
  • Competence in research-oriented PC software (Access, Excel, SPSS).
