Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with a range of special educational needs, including learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing personalized learning plans to ensure students receive the guidance and care they need to thrive.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address the needs of students with special educational needs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to support students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with learning difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A clear DBS check.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
