About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inspiring school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to ensure students receive a high-quality educational experience.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, promoting a supportive and inclusive school culture.
  • Manage challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner, using evidence-based strategies to promote student well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support strategies to meet the needs of students with SEN.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (ideally on the Update Service)
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students, staff, and parents
  • Resilient, proactive, and positive nature, with a passion for supporting students with SEN
  • Experience in classrooms supporting students with SEN
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with students
  • Genuine passion for helping students fulfill their potential and flourish in education
