Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Location: SEN School

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic SEN School in Peckham. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with SEMH and neurological disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group pupil support under the direct supervision of teaching staff.
  • Support independent learning and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
  • Support the teacher with managing behaviour and keep pupils on task.
  • Assist in the planning and learning activities.
  • Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance, and integration of all pupils.

Requirements:

  • Motivated to make a positive difference to the students.
  • Care deeply about students' well-being and personal development.
  • An interest in SEN.
  • Good communication skills and set high expectations.
  • Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team.
