Job Description

Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to provide individualized support to students with SEN
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation to ensure students receive the best possible educational experience
  • Manage challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning community

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (ideally on the Update Service)
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students and staff
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with students
  • Genuine passion for helping students with SEN to fulfill their potential and flourish in education
