Role Overview

Prospero Teaching is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team in a SEN school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and challenging behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to provide individualized support to students with SEN and challenging behavior.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement in students.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure students receive the best possible educational experience.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (ideally on the Update Service)
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with students and staff
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with students
  • Genuine passion for helping young people to fulfill their potential and flourish in education
