Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Sales Development Manager to join our team at DHL Global Forwarding. As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the Air Freight sector.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading global logistics company, leveraging your expertise in multimodal freight services, including air freight, to drive sales growth and expand our customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Air Freight sector, building relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Develop and present bespoke solutions to meet the needs of our customers, including contract negotiations and closing new deals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth handover of new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities to enhance our services and improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of multimodal freight services, including air freight, and local markets and industries.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- A full UK driver's license is required, as this role involves travel.
