Assistant Manager - New Residential Care Facility


Brook Street Social Care is seeking a committed and experienced Assistant Manager to support the establishment of a new Residential Care Facility.

This position is ideal for individuals who are dedicated to positively impacting the lives of young individuals and possess the necessary expertise to assist the Registered Manager in launching a new service.


As the Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in upholding the esteemed reputation of one of the UK's premier providers of specialized care.

Your role will involve leading a team focused on delivering specialized residential care, therapeutic support, and educational services for young people with intricate needs.

Collaborating closely with the Registered Manager and the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to fostering a secure and nurturing atmosphere for young individuals, ensuring a truly therapeutic approach.


This fulfilling position entails assisting the Registered Manager with a variety of responsibilities, including staff oversight, quality control, and engagement with external partners.

You will play a key role in ensuring adherence to regulations and supporting the management of a team of Care Assistants and the Mental Health team.


Key Qualifications:

  • Possess a Level 3 qualification in children and young people's workforce or equivalent (Level 5 preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting children and young adults in a relevant role within residential care.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and regulations.
  • Motivated to collaborate holistically with other professionals to ensure young individuals achieve their full potential and have optimal life opportunities.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
  • Demonstrate a passion for and enthusiasm in assisting young people.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to negotiate, influence, and apply emotional intelligence.
