Job Summary:
Are you in possession of a valid Bus driving license (category D)? Are you passionate about facilitating transportation for staff and patients to our healthcare facilities? Do you aspire to join an NHS Trust that prioritizes sustainability in all its operations?

If your answers are affirmative, we have an opportunity for you. We are in search of a Transport Operator to engage in full-time work (37.5 hours per week).

The selected candidate will be responsible for operating the Hospital Buses and other organizational vehicles.

Successful applicants will work 37.5 hours weekly, distributed over 4 or 5 days as per the established rota.


Key Responsibilities:
Daily tasks may encompass:
  • * Operating the Hospital Free Bus to assist patients, visitors, and staff with their transportation needs to our healthcare facilities.
  • Managing the delivery vehicles throughout the local area, ensuring timely delivery and collection of medical supplies.
  • Completing necessary checklists and documentation pertinent to the role.
  • Collaborating with team members to provide a cohesive Transport service.
  • Conducting daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • * Possess exceptional record-keeping abilities.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach with all stakeholders.
  • Hold a valid PCV (category D) driving license.
  • Possess a category C1 driving license.
  • Have a current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
