About the Role
Transport for the North is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team and contribute to the delivery of the Trans-Pennine Route Upgrade (TRU) programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of large and complex projects, or programmes of work, to support the TRU programme, working closely with senior stakeholders and partners to ensure delivery against project needs and objectives.
- Lead a project team or teams and ensure all work and outputs are executed to meet requirements, taking into consideration interdependencies between projects.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable post-qualification experience in successfully managing large and complex multi-stakeholder projects, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and meet operational targets. They will also have knowledge of the rail industry, including timetabling and access planning, and a drive to deliver excellent customer experience during periods of disruption.
Candidates must be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and possess a professional qualification in project/programme management.
