Job Title - Software Build and Configuration Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Build and Configuration Manager to join our team. As a key member of our software team, you will be responsible for managing configuration management and other legacy tools, ensuring that the team follows the agreed project delivery lifecycle, and identifying and resolving problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage configuration management and other legacy tools
  • Ownership and maintenance of processes, procedures, and low-level documentation associated with the Configuration Management and related documents
  • Assist in providing direction to the company on Change and Configuration Management and driving agreed changes through to completion
  • Assist in providing direction to the company relating to Engineering toolsets, managing obsolescence, patching, administration, and strategy for future enhancements and direction for both COTS and internally developed tools
  • Ensure that the team is following the agreed project delivery lifecycle, and any problems are identified, understood, and resolved
  • Assist with developing an achievable Schedule which is agreed with all parties and approved for the team to work against
  • Assists in the collection and reporting of metrics. KPI's/ TKR's
  • Undertake configuration audit activities (i.e. FCA/PCA)
  • Actively contribute to improvements using the company's e3 methodology, encouraging and facilitating change to realise efficiencies
Requirements
  • Jira, GIT, Jenkins or similar CI tools
  • Understanding and experience of Engineering lifecycles
  • Experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines such as Verification and Validation methods, the importance of contractual compliance, and system or systems integration
  • Technical understanding of the product under development
  • Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline preferably Software based
