Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Build and Configuration Manager to join our team. As a key member of our software team, you will be responsible for managing configuration management and other legacy tools, ensuring that the team is following the agreed project delivery lifecycle, and identifying and resolving any problems that arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage configuration management and other legacy tools to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Own and maintain processes, procedures, and low-level documentation associated with configuration management and related documents.
- Assist in providing direction to the company on Change and Configuration Management and driving agreed changes through to completion.
- Assist in providing direction to the company relating to Engineering toolsets, managing obsolescence, patching, administration, and strategy for future enhancements and direction for both COTS and internally developed tools.
- Ensure that the team is following the agreed project delivery lifecycle and identify and resolve any problems that arise.
- Assist with developing an achievable schedule that is agreed with all parties and approved for the team to work against.
- Collect and report metrics, KPIs, and TKRs.
- Undertake configuration audit activities, such as FCA/PCA.
- Actively contribute to improvements using the company's e3 methodology, encouraging and facilitating change to realize efficiencies.
Requirements
- Experience with Jira, GIT, Jenkins, or similar CI tools.
- Understanding and experience of Engineering lifecycles.
- Experience and knowledge of Systems Engineering disciplines, such as Verification and Validation methods, contractual compliance, and system or systems integration.
- Technical understanding of the product under development.
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, preferably Software-based.
