Service Asset and Configuration Management Specialist

Job Summary:
Sopra Steria is seeking a highly skilled Service Asset and Configuration Manager to join our Dynamic Aerospace, Defence, and National Security Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in redefining and running a service that meets the dynamic demands of the current climate.
About the Role:
- Configuration Management: Conduct detailed analyses and quality checks of Configuration Management Databases (CMDB) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Process Enhancement: Evaluate and enhance the existing configuration management process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Comprehensive Configuration Management: Develop and secure approval for a comprehensive configuration management process that meets the needs of our Defence clients.
- Service Acceptance Criteria: Define service acceptance criteria in collaboration with the Acceptance into Service Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support and Testing: Support testing and wider Service Management discovery activities to ensure the service meets the required standards.
- CIs Lifecycle Management: Effectively manage the lifecycle of supported Configuration Items (CIs) within the CMDB and provide up-to-date information on the status of CIs.
- Issue Identification and Escalation: Identify, escalate, and track Configuration Management issues to ensure prompt resolution.
- CI Attributes and Relationships: Proactively manage and audit all CI attributes and relationships to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- Experience: Established Service Asset and Configuration Management experience, with up-to-date knowledge of current CMDB tools.
- Qualifications: Professional Configuration Management qualifications and Service Management qualifications such as ITIL v3.
Desirable:
- Defence Sector Experience: Defence sector experience would be an advantage.
