Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Asset and Configuration Manager to join our team at Shared Services Connected Ltd. As a key member of our Service Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed analyses and quality checks of the CMDB to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate and enhance the existing configuration management process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and secure approval for a comprehensive configuration management process that meets industry standards.
  • Define service acceptance criteria in collaboration with the Acceptance into Service Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support testing and wider Service Management discovery activities to ensure the CMDB is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Effectively manage the lifecycle of supported Configuration Items (CIs) within the CMDB and provide timely updates on CI status.
  • Identify, escalate, and track configuration management issues to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Proactively manage and audit all CI attributes and relationships to maintain data integrity.

Requirements:

  • Established experience in Service Asset and Configuration Management, with up-to-date knowledge of current CMDB tools.
  • Professional Configuration Management qualifications and Service Management qualifications such as ITIL v3.

Desirable:

  • Defence sector experience.
