Compliance Manager - Care Regulated Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager to join our Clinical Governance Team at Shaw Healthcare. This role involves planning, directing, and completing rigorous audits/inspections across our settings registered with national regulators.

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with Service Managers, operational management teams, and Shaw head office colleagues to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also be responsible for relaying outcomes of compliance audits, setting requirements and timescales for completion, and producing reports.

The Compliance Manager will work closely with the Director of Compliance and Governance and other Compliance & Governance colleagues to maintain oversight and management of a caseload of regulated services. They will also be responsible for carrying out audits in line with an agreed programme, observing and reporting on the well-being of people using the service.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, clinical, auditing, and presentation skills, as well as good knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework influencing all registered settings. They will also have experience in staff and audit management within health and social care, and proven experience and qualifications within health and social care including management certification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organise, liaise and conduct Compliance Audits in all Shaw healthcare settings registered with CQC/CIW/Care Inspectorate & Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
  • Provide relevant professional advice and analysis within corporate Compliance & Governance expectations.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Maintain registration with NMC (when applicable).
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, guidance, and best practice development.
Requirements:
  • Excellent analytical, clinical, auditing and presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework influencing all registered settings.
  • Experience in staff and audit management within health and social care.
  • Proven experience and qualifications within health and social care including management certification.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collect evidence objectively to make informed decisions about quality of care.
  • Positive, honest, open and constructive approach when inspecting/auditing.
  • Car driver with a current license.
