About Guardian Electrical Compliance

We are a leading provider of electrical compliance services, seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Remedial Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical installation work in various commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough electrical inspections and testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and implement electrical installation plans for commercial and industrial clients.
  • Assess and order necessary parts and equipment for individual tasks.
  • Liaise with our Operations Supervisor for planned and routine maintenance programs and reporting procedures.
  • Work to recognized industry standards at all times, maintaining accurate records of all work and completing required paperwork within defined timescales.
  • Participate in flexible working hours, which may require occasional travel and weekend work.
  • Undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications.
  • Act on own initiative to resolve electrical installation issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical installation.
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Inspection and Testing.
  • NVQ Level 3.
  • 18th Edition.
  • In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using electrical testing equipment and software for reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid UK driving license (or equivalent, depending on location).
