About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled NHS Patient Services Administrator to join our team at Spire Claremont Hospital. As a key member of our outpatient department, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our clinicians and ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to clinicians, including booking and organizing clinics, registering patients on our Patient Administration System, and ensuring all bookings are accurately recorded.
  • Patient Registration: Register patients on our Patient Administration System, inputting patient demographics accurately and in a timely manner to avoid duplication.
  • Referral Management: Manage all new non-ERS referrals, including paper, fax, or email, and ensure they are booked in line with applicable local or national NHS policies.
  • Day-to-Day Management: Ensure the day-to-day management of our NHS ERS system, including resolving appointment slot issues, appointment booking issues, and other patient problems.
  • Communication: Liaise with consultants and their secretaries regarding patient queries and urgent messages, and cancel and rearrange clinics on behalf of consultants.
  • Data Management: Ensure all required data is collected accurately and liaise with relevant staff to resolve any data quality problems to ensure 18-week and contractual data compliance is accurately recorded for all patients.
Requirements
  • Personable Individual: A personable individual with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Basic PC Skills: Good basic PC skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in administration is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
