Skin Cancer Care Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Skin Cancer Care Coordinator to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our skin and lung cancer nurse specialist team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient support and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the skin CNS teams in the daily management and support of people affected by skin cancers regionally and nationally.
- Provide comprehensive support and information to patients and families affected by cancer, including navigation and coordination of supportive care.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to ensure seamless care and act as a conduit between patients and healthcare professionals.
- Be an active member of the CNS team, working collaboratively to deliver a high-quality service to those affected by cancer.
Requirements
- Relevant health or social care experience at Band 3 or equivalent, or transferable knowledge and experience of working with the public.
- Understanding of key referral pathways to Allied Health Professionals to support plans of care.
- Experience in managing small projects, data collection systems, and dealing with challenging situations.
- Previous involvement in audit, service improvement, and a willingness to undertake training.
