About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Registration Officer to join our team at the Accrington Registration Office. This role involves a permanent commitment of 416 annualized hours, with a working schedule from Thursday to Monday, including additional compensation for weekend and bank holiday duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and conduct both statutory and non-statutory ceremonies at registration offices, religious venues, and other authorized locations.
  • Perform tasks related to the registration of marriages and civil partnerships.

About Our Service:

The Registration Service is responsible for creating accurate and timely records of all Births, Still-Births, Deaths, Marriages, and Civil Partnerships. We also assist couples in giving notice of their intention to marry or enter into a Civil Partnership.

Your Profile:

The ideal candidate will be customer-oriented, proficient in using digital tools, and committed to collaborative teamwork. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present confidently in front of groups are essential. You should be capable of working accurately, adhering to established procedures, and operating independently. Flexibility to adjust your schedule occasionally to accommodate the ceremony program is also required.
